With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Ferko (Welland, Ontario), who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Nicolas and Daria; and her sister Ann Nawotka (Stan). She is survived by: her sons, John (Sandy) and Jim (Dany); her grandchildren, Mike (Carol), Niki (Brendan), Stephanie (Edwin), Rachel (Martin), Rogan, Maxime (Marie) and Pierre (Julie); her great grandchildren, Emily, Ally, Tommy, Jamie, Noreen and Sebastiano; and her sister Elsie Gosnik (Ed). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the J. J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence (19 Young St, Welland, ON L3B4C5). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery (50 Woodlawn Rd, Welland, ON L3C3J5).
