He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Zawaly and Anne Zawaly. He is survived by: his spouse Starr; his child Trent Zawaly (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Anne and Emily Zawaly; his brother John Zawaly (Gloria); his siblings-in-law, Dianna Sensabaugh (late Ernie Forsey) and Rick Sensabaugh (Phyllis); and his cousin Wayne Chick (Francis). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial donations to The Great Trail (the trans-Canada trail) will be appreciated by his family.
