He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Alexandra; his parents, Helmi and Eino; and his siblings, Maire, Henry and Esko (Martta).
He is survived by: his spouse Helli-Liisa Harju; his children, Sharon (Eduardo) and Robert (Maria); his grandchildren, Jacob and Rachel; his sibling-in-law Liisa; and his nephews, Roy and Mike.
