She was predeceased by: her former husband William Cawthorne (Bill); and her husband Dr. Arnold Purdon. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Cawthorne, Ted Cawthorne (Sharon) and Debbie Ciarroni (Peter); and her grandchildren, Cameron (Cindy), Cory (Jodie), Anne (Patrick), John (Kendra), Eric, Miranda and Keifer. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations, in Mary's memory may be made to Sick Kid's Hospital.
