He was predeceased by: his wife Mina; and his sons, Barry Douglas and Philip Calvin. He is survived by: his sons, Gerald (Nancy), Gordon (Corals), Roy (Patricia) and Patrick Jr. (Sondi); his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christie, Andrea, Christopher, Melissa, Michael, Brittney, Kaleigh, Alexander, Brad and Kelly; his sister Anita Bertulli; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Noah, Evva, Carter, Zoey, Allie, Ezekiel, Meredith, Penelope, Calvin, Parker, Ryleigh, Kayla, Leonard, Zachary and Emily; and his daughter-in-law Jillian (late Philip). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patrick can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Welland, Branch 4.
