He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Boma; and his sister Lorette. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Monique Aquilina (Dan) and Nicole; his grandchildren, Isabella, Bianca (Aquilina), Jacob and Olivia (Guglielmi); and his brothers, Leo and Roger. He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in René's name.
