He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude Demers Ducharme; his parents, Patrick and Albertine; and his sisters, Huguette Souter and Doris Lecompte.
He is survived by: his sister Lise Marcoux (Mike); and his stepchildren, Laval (Diane), Helene, Mario (Jacqueline), Liette van Niekerk (Martin) and Sylvain (Joanne). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
