He was predeceased by: his wife Ada; and his parents, Lewis and Irene. He is survived by: his children, Kim Pay (Rick) and Paul Hammond (Lena); his grandchildren, Daniel, Liddy Pay, Alex and Tori Hammond; and his close friend Marilyn Hall. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
