She was predeceased by : her husbands, Paul Duffy and Donald Willard. She is survived by : her children, Mary Hickman of Toronto, Tom Duffy (Cindy Mitchell-Duffy) of Burnaby, B. C and Cherished; her grandchildren, Christine Hickman, Bradley Hickman of Toronto and Robyn Duffy of Burnaby, B. C; and her great grandchildren, Emily and Luke Farrugia.

Donations in Melanie's memory may be made to St. James United Church, Waterdown.
