He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Lyons and Elsie Lyons (Bradley); and his siblings, Doris McDonald and Donald Lyons. He is survived by: his siblings, Mervin Lyons of Edmonton, AB, Marjorie (Charles Copland) of Minto Township, Florence (Brian Van Meer) of Mount Forest, Diane (Ernie Scott) of Southgate Township and Jean Conway of Harriston; his brother-in-law Arthur McDonald of Mount Forest; and his aunt Stella Carmount of Southgate Township. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
