He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis Wight and Phyllis Wight; and his stepson Ian Bailey. He is survived by : his wife Betty; his stepgrandchildren, Tammy, Lorri-Anne (Peter Mitchell) of Burnaby, BC., April (Tim Killoran), Michelle, Emily, Jessica and Austin; his siblings, Roger Wight (Darlene) of Winnipeg and Sherry Truman (Bill) of Kingston; and his friend Lee Knight (Linda). He is also survived by his many friends and extended family, especially his cousin.
