Basle Ernest Cooper Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Basle Ernest Cooper of West Guilford, Ontario, who passed away on April 8, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Julie; his parents, Basle Cooper and Joan Cooper; his mother-in-law Barbara Buckland; his stepchildren, Christina Kennard (Josh), Laura Kennard (Thomas) and Kenny Horrobin-Cooper (Brooke); his grandchildren, Sonya, Sierra, Luciano, Leia, Madeline and Alexander; his great grandchild Tyson; his siblings, Sheryl Priest (Tim), Esther Sipe and Jonathan Cooper (Sandra); his nieces and nephews, Crystal (Jared), Joshua, Darcee (Nathan), Amber (Alex) and Sherry (Shane); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Autumn, Jaden, Hailey, Austin and Kara; and his friends, Shane and Brenda McGuire.

Due to the Covid-19 Restrictions a Public Celebration of Ernie's Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations to the Diabetes Association or to the War Amps would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.

“Sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. I remember our childhood years as neighbours, playing in the nearby fields, tapping maple trees in the sugar bush, learning to milk cows in the barn, and waiting for the school bus at the end of the driveway. It's been a long time since I've lived in West Guilford but will think of my time there with fondness because of the memories created with my childhood friend.
