He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil and Hattie; and his sibling Brant. He is survived by : his wife Carol; his children, Susan and Mark (Brandon); his grandchildren, Mia, Josie, Emma, Ella, Sawyer, Phoebe and Beckett; his siblings, Grenville, Marjorie, Eunice, Sharon and Donelda; and his siblings-in-law, Faye, Karl, John, Eileen, George and Truman. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

“Lyle welcomed me to his community with open arms when my family moved here in 2015. I miss the "now, son, .... " talks that he would give me over a Coors Light. Funny, caring, generous along with genuine are what I remember most about Lyle in my short time in Haliburton County.”
