He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paal Sr. and Katharina Paal; his brother Michael (Anna Maria Paal); and his brother-in-law Bruno Yanke. He is survived by: his daughter Gerda Paal-Martinuzzi (Bryan) of London; his granddaughter Jenna Renee Martinuzzi of Berlin; and his sister Katharina Yanke of Waterloo. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, his family and friends.
