He was predeceased by: his daughter Christine Wright (late Oleg Margolin) of Toronto; and his siblings, Ethel and Peter of Red Deer. He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his son David Wright of Westmeath; his granddaughters, Sofie and Sarah Margolin of Toronto; and his siblings, Gordon White of Beachburg, Arvilla Cook (Robert) of Pembroke, Esther White (Edgar) of Beachburg, Rowan (Pieret) of Brockville, Helen McInnes (Brian) of Bowmanville, Arthur (Nancy) of Hamilton, Robin (Joan) of Nova Scotia and Keitha Sherrard (John) of Smiths Falls.
