She was predeceased by: her husband John William Thompson; her sons, Bill and Gerald; her nieces and nephews, John and Reg; her parents, Reginald Maw and Catherine Maw; and her siblings, Reg, Maureen, Noel and Peggy.
She is survived by: her sons, John and Dave; her grandchildren, Emily, John William, Austin and Alie; her nieces and nephews, Bev, Karen, Rob, Nancy, Dean, Sue and John Jr.; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Caitlin, Grace, Isabelle, Jorja and Jillian; her great grandchild Celina; Elly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel (110 Dundas St E, Whitby, ON L1N2H7). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marks United Church (201 Centre St S, Whitby, ON L1N4V7). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at the Groveside Cemetery (5155 Baldwin St S, Whitby, ON L1M1T4).
