Cheryl Coverley Obituary
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday July 18th, 2026 at the age of 73.
Much loved mother of Cari-Anne De Ciccio and her husband Vince. Pre-deceased by her daughter Traci Jewer (Glen) Loving daughter of Muriel Martin (late Ronald).
Grandmother of Kyle (Krista) and Matthew (Abigail). Great Grandmother of Georgia, Bobby, Tucker and Benjamin.
Survived by her siblings Debbie Martin, Marilyn Speziali, Karen Hussey (pre-deceased Bob), Dale Martin (Linda), Darla Riley (pre-deceased Garth), and Jo-anne Mattis (Donevan).
Cheryl will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
Cheryl completed her secondary education and entered Loyalist college in her late twenties all the while going through a divorce. There she earned a diploma with honours in social work. After several years she became an "empty nester" and moved to Pickering. It was there Cheryl took a part time job as a sales lady for Sears. She was discovered there by "Elaine Minacs" for her outstanding customer service. Cheryl spent the next three decades as a customer service representative for General Motors.
Cheryl was known for her fantastic cooking and large gatherings for her cherished family. She considered it a privilege to live with her aging mother and remained there right up until her own last breath.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 24th, 2026 just prior to funeral from 10 am- 11 am.
Funeral officiated by Reverend Nicole Lahaie; will begin 11am, Friday, July 24th, 2026 at; Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road North, Whitby Simple reception to follow the service.
