He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Astrid; his daughters, Kathy (Gerrit) and Patricia "Trish" (Allan); and his grandchildren, Lauryn and Blake.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T2Z7). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (903 Giffard St, Whitby, ON L1N2S3).
