Glenford Jones Obituary
With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Glenford Frederick Jones, who departed this life on June 29, 2026, just two days before his 70th birthday.
Born on July 1, 1956, in Barataria, Trinidad, Glenford spent his early years surrounded by family, friends, and the vibrant culture of his homeland. In 1973, he emigrated to Toronto, Canada, where he built a life defined by hard work, perseverance, and devotion to his loved ones.
Glenford was a skilled and dedicated tradesman. He began his career as a welder before finding his passion in automotive body repair and painting. Through his craftsmanship and attention to detail, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Outside of work, Glenford found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to his cherished collection of classic vinyl records. He also enjoyed playing soccer and proudly represented the Flemington Boys, creating friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial on Friday July 10th from 1:00 p.m. until time of celebration of life at 2:00 0'Clock.
Glenford was a spiritual person, and his faith was an important part of his life.
Glenford was married twice and was the proud father of three children: Joanne, Junior, and Aaron. He was also the loving grandfather and great-grandfather to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Anyone who knew Glenford knew that he loved a spirited conversation. He was an exceptional debater with a sharp mind, quick wit, and unwavering confidence. Conversations with Glenford were rarely short, and more often than not, he would leave you smiling—and convinced that he had won the debate.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Joan Jones, his loving siblings, Alden, Charmaine, Lancelot, Andrea, and Andrien, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Glenford will be remembered for his strength, determination, humor, generosity, and the love he had for his family, music, and meaningful conversation. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in the memories we shared and in knowing that his spirit will remain with us always.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
