Harold Coker Obituary
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Wilson Coker, who passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the loving care of his family, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of Connie Coker, his devoted wife of 69 years. Cherished father of Steven Coker (Cathy), Glenn Coker (Robin), Bradley Coker (Sheila), and Leanne Domi (Mario). Proud grandfather of Jeff, Jaclyn, Shawna, James, Ian, Ahren, Ryan, Cameron, Juliet, Carlin, Max, and Avery.
Adored great-grandfather of Davis, Peyton, Maddie, Nora, Hudson, Henrik, Madison, Kennedy, Taylor, Reagan, Paisley, Bennett, Brody, Brayden, and Valerie.
Harold was born on November 20, 1931, in Woodstock, New Brunswick. In 1949 at the age of 18 he moved to Toronto where he built a full and accomplished life. He enjoyed a successful career holding positions with Shell Canada, Noranda Mines and later his most cherished role as a sales representative in telecommunications.
Beyond his career, Harold gave much of his time to the community. He was founder and president of the Scarborough Probus Club, an executive of the Whitby/Brooklin Probus Club and served as president of the Agincourt Canadians Hockey League.
Harold was a man of many passions. He loved golfing, travelling, playing bridge, reading, wood carving , and gardening. In his younger years, he and Connie were known for lighting up the dance floor—so much so that people often stepped aside just to watch them dance.
Above all, Harold will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and his willingness to help anyone in need, whether it was family, friends, or neighbours. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in all who knew him.
Funeral Mass will be held at St Leo The Great Catholic Church (130 Watford St. Brooklin) on Tuesday Sept 23rd at 11 am with a reception and refreshments following in the parish hall.
