It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Alves (Whitby, Ontario), who passed away on October 23, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Barry Pogue; and her brothers, Donald (Myrle) and Alex (Kathy). She is survived by: her sibling's children, Robert and Lisa Alves; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor and Tori; and her goddaughter Hannah Minzloff.

In memory of Helen donations to the Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids foundation would be appreciated.
