Jan Paul Ploeger Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Paul Ploeger (Whitby, Ontario), who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jan departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jan may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jan leaves behind.
He is survived by: his parents, Barbara Ploeger and John Ploeger; his child Chase Ploeger of Keswick; and his cousins, Jacob, Andrea Ploeger of Port Perry, Ruth Prentice of Kitchener and Anne Marie Greenwood of Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his many colleagues, co-workers, customers in sailing, many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel (110 Dundas St E, Whitby, ON L1N2H7).
Jan's family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Jan's name.
