Katie Gesine Kremer Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Katie Kremer. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away peacefully on the early morning of May 2nd, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa.

Katerina (Katie) Gesine Kremer was born on December 31st, 1932 .

Katie survived the hardships that war can bring, losing many family members. She was however deeply saddened by the loss of her older sister Hilda and later on by her beloved mother and father.

She was a very hard worker spending her early years in Canada working on tobacco farms, factories, cleaning houses and as a waitress at high end Hotels. She took pride in her ability to work hard.

She spent the majority of her career in banking with the Royal Bank of Canada.

Those that worked under her supervision loved working for her admired and respected her.

She was feisty and opinionated however was extremely kind and had a wonderful sense of humour.

She devoted her retirement years on helping her daughter Helene raise her son Christopher.

She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Katie Kremer is survived by her loving daughters Helene and Michele and her grandchildren, Antimo, Christopher and Bianca. She was predeceased by her husband Nic Kremer.
