He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Martell (Peter), Emma Devost (Jenn), John Devost (Barb), Lorraine Young (Greg), Leo Devost (Susan), Clara Devost (Jean-Pierre) and Carmel Buttery (Billy); his brother Noël Devost (Claudette); his sister-in-law Clara Haché; his wife Eulalie; his son René Devost; his siblings, Octave Devost (Marie), André Devost (Carmel) and Lorraine Content (André); and his grandchildren, Christiane, Samantha, Alexandra, Kyle, Ryan, Michael, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Joseph, Sandra, Elise, Jean-Jacques, Billy-Joe and René.
