Peter Vachon Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Vachon, who peacefully departed us on Friday, June 27, 2025. Peter was a loving husband of 55 years to Linda and father to Danielle (Claude), Nicole and Steven. He will be deeply missed by his brother-in-law Edmund (Marianne) and sister-in-law Barbara (John), his nieces and nephews, Ron (Diana), Barb, Shawn (Mandy), Christine and Melissa as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Peter was an electrician by trade and enjoyed meeting new people in the various jobsites he was working on. In his spare time, he liked spending time at the club with his friends on Tuesday evenings. He loved to play cards and was quite competitive at times. He taught his children how to fish at a young age and he continued to enjoy this past time throughout his years. His love of nature was evident throughout his life. During his younger years, he spent some time living on farms and when in the city, he had pets at home. He enjoyed watching the birds in the backyard and feeding some by hand.
Peter lived a life filled with devotion to his family and friends with a heart full of generosity. His laughter, wisdom and quiet strength radiated warmth and love wherever he went. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and everyone whose lives he touched. Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N Whitby on Monday July 7th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Brooklin on Tuesday July 8th at 11:00 am. Donations can be made in memory of Peter to either of the following, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
