Sarah Louise Drimmie Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice with family by her side on Thursday December 4th, 2025 at the age of 51, after a long and hard fought battle against pancreatic cancer.
Much loved wife of John for 24 years. Devoted Mum of Rebecca and Matthew. Cherished daughter of Morag and Michael, sister of Christopher (Amy) and Elise (Luke), daughter-in-law of Mike and Lorraine and stepdaughter of Linda. Beloved Aunt of Aaron, Noah, Eliana, Felix and Sonny. Dear friend to many.
The adventure of a lifetime started in August 2000 when Sarah met John in downtown Toronto, while trying to take a photo of the CN tower with her lens cap on. Their meeting was shortly followed by a move to Canada, and 24 years of marriage and many memories with family and friends.
Sarah kept busy staying up to date with her kids and their friends' lives, scouring antique shops, reading books, and enjoying a good cup of tea (steeped for 4 and ½ minutes exactly). Her favourite way to end the day was with her bestest boy Baxter curled at her feet.
Her infectious laugh and stories will be forever appreciated by her coworkers and friends. Sarah's childhood love for horses continues in her daughter's pursuit of a veterinary medicine degree. As a steady sideline presence for over 15 years, her cheering and commitment will be deeply missed by her lacrosse family.
Visitation held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home. 5295 Thickson Rd. N Whitby on Friday December 19th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A service to celebrate Sarah's life will be held in the Barnes Chapel Saturday December 20th at 12:00 Noon.
Sarah will be laid to rest at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Oak Ridges Hospice are appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, who cared for Sarah throughout her journey.
