Sheila Coker Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Coker on February 7, 2026. Sheila did it her way at home in her sleep peacefully and pain free.

Sheila was a devoted mother to Ryan, Cameron, and Juliet, and a wonderful Nana to Paisley, Bennett, Brody, Braden, and Valerie. She was a beloved daughter of Ada Henderson and a cherished sister to Karen Chalmers and Susan McKeown.

Throughout Sheila's journey, she never complained once. Her primary concern was the health and happiness of everyone around her. Right to the very end, there was never one word of complaint.

Sheila loved to travel and was a loyal, lifelong friend to many, maintaining close friendships that began in public school. Family and friends were at the heart of everything she did, and she rarely missed an opportunity to gather and spend time with those she loved.

Although Sheila never wanted to be the center of attention, her personality would always shine through. Her passing has left an incredible hole in the lives of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but never be forgotten! Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N Whitby on Thursday February 19th, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until time of celebration of life in the Barnes Chapel at 1:00 pm, In memory of Sheila memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids foundation would be appreciated.
