Violet Louie Rosina Chambers Obituary
Near midnight on July 1st, 2025, Violet Louie Rosina Chambers wife of David Chambers (died Jan '24) went home to be with the Lord. Violet was mother to Trevor (Glenda), Liz (Duncan), and Susan, grandmother to Nadine, Kristen, Kyle, Stephanie and Melissa, and great grandmother to Luca, Natalia, Bearwyn, Louise and Adalene.
Married to David for 66 years, Violet's life was shaped by her steadfast devotion to her family, and a tenacity that even the powerful grip of dementia could not take away.
Born in Blackfield, Hampshire on the brink of World War 2, Violet's early life was focused on survival and careful consideration for the future. Marrying David at 20 years old, she raised 3 children while working odd jobs and being involved in the church.
At almost 44 years old, Violet led the way across the ocean as she embarked with David, Liz and Susan to start a new life in Canada, laying the foundation for future generations.
While dementia governed the last few years of Violets life, it could not prevent her from enjoying her lifelong love of hymns and choral music. She learned to play piano as a child and played for numerous congregations while also singing in many choirs and volunteering those talents in long term care communities, Violet's love of music expressed her joy for life and gratitude to the Lord.
She will be deeply missed.
