He was predeceased by: his brother Farrell Kanasawe Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Jay, Jayden and Maria (Mother Purdey Assiniwai); his parents, Mary Louise Debassige and Farrell Kanasawe Sr.; his siblings, Sharon Giroux Gary Giroux (Kevin), Darrel Debassige, John Debassige (Dawn), Kathryn Debassige and Bajek Debassige; and his aunt Agnes Kanasawe. He is also survived by many Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, Relatives.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Buzwah Church (2525 Wikwemikong Way, Wikwemikong, ON P0P2J0). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
