It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Mishibinijima of Wikwemikong, Ontario, born in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatius Mishibinijima and Victoria Mishibinijima; his wife Lucy Jane Peltier; and his son Rennie. He is survived by: his sons, Brian (Melissa) and Johnathan; his grandchildren, Renee, Merideth (Joshua), Faith (Ian), Breanne (Peter), Hope, Eadian and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Chloe and Aura; his siblings, Lina (Moses), Henry (Marie), Shirley (Bill), Lenord, Josephine, Catherine (Sydney), Raymond (Alison), Anthony (late Linda), Stella (Wayne), James (Evelyn) and Mark; and his pet Biscuit.
A wake will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the St. Ignatius Church (18 Church St, Wikwemikong, ON P0P2J0). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
