He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Burgess and Irene Burgess; his brothers, Alan and Bryson; and his grandson Zachary.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Burgess; his children, Ian Burgess of Ingersoll, Shannon Burgess of Kitchener, Erika Von Erck (Xavier) of Penn Hills, PA. and Trevor Burgess of Williamsburg; his siblings, Harold (Kelly) of Pakenham, Shirley Brown (late Gerry) of Smiths Falls, Doreen Russell (Doug) of Arnprior, Keith (Barbara) of Pakenham, Karen James of Pakenham, Don (Lori) of Pakenham and Steve (Patricia) of Pakenham; and his grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, Sophia, Wyatt and Eric. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
