He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Norton and Gladys Norton; his siblings, Hazel Fleming (Al), Ronald (Bessie), Gordon, Bert (Shirley), Dave and Donna Norton; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Lister and Darryl Burbine.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his children, Richard "Rick" (Lois) of Jackson's Point, Jeffrey (Diana) of Stouffville, Bruce (Lynn) of Jackson's Point and Terry McDeivitte (Scott) of Horseshoe Valley; his grandchildren, Nicole (OJ), Victor (Sydney), Alex (Sheena), Andrew, Anthony, Cameron (Bonnie), Deanna, Joshua (Michelle) and Sydney (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Anna and Gabriel; his siblings, Jean Lister, Betty Holden, Ruby Burbine and June Hansen (Ray); his mothers-in-law, Ruby and Georgina Norton; and his daughter Teresa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
