She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Ponting; her parents, Jessie Bell and Leonard Bell; and her siblings, Lester, Ralph, Orland "Steve", George "Sam", Jean Volks, June Hoy, Clara "Betty" Baker and Maxine Baldwin.
A family graveside service will be held at the Maple Ridge Cemetery, 12820-12898 County Road 43, Chesterville on Tuesday September 29, 2026 at 1 p.m. By family request donations in Memory of Joan may be made to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation-The New Dundas Manor.
