It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Lutes in Winchester, Ontario, born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Thelma departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Thelma. Though Thelma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Primrose Shaver and Marcus Shaver; her son Stephen (Daryl); her brother Roger (Huguette); and her sister-in-law Esther.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Lutes; her sons, Richard (Isabeau) of Ottawa and Brian (Bonnie) of Los Angeles; her grandchildren, Vincent (Marie), Matthieu (Sarah), William (Ria) and Jordan (Demetria); and her brother Keith Shaver of Kingston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
