He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Zonta and Erminia Zonta; and his sibling Sergio Zonta. He is survived by: his spouse Augusta; his children, Daniela Zonta of Italy, Louis Zonta (Patricia) of Leamington, Moira Drouillard (Dale) of Tecumseh, Denis Zonta (Kristen) of LaSalle and Adam Zonta of Windsor; his siblings, Silvano Zonta (Luciana) of Italy, Elsa Chiurato (late Franco), Luciana Lunardon (Bruno) of Italy, Cesare Zonta (Giovanna) of Italy and Gioia Pigozzo (Claudio) of Italy; his siblings-in-law, Lala Casale (late Dario) of Italy and Dario Stefani (late Luciana) of Italy; and also, Darika, Erin, Alessia, Jaclyn and Jillian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As an expression of sympathy and to honour Alfeo's life, memorial donation may be made to the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County.
