He was predeceased by: his parents, Wellée Plante and Yvonne (Nee Dupont); and his siblings, Valérien (late Colette), Yves (Jeannine), Hervé, Vital (Noëlla), Carol (late Normand), Guy (Hélène), Anicet, Dorothée (late Paul) and Jacques (Mary).

He is survived by: his wife Solange (Nee Gadoury); his grandchildren, Denis (Janice), Joe-Anne, Louise (Pierre), Pierrette, Diane (Roger) and André (Denise); and his sisters, Huguette (late Jean) and Fernande (Claude). He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Cancer Society.
