She is survived by: her husband Leo Santamaria; her children, Luci (Richard), Lori (Alec) and Bart (Jennifer); her brother Luigi (Brenda); and her sister-in-law Maurita. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario, Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
