He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby (Nee Allen); his parents, John H. Jannette and Mary Jannette (Nee Brazill); his siblings, Margaret McLaughlin (Frank), John G. (Marie) and Catharine Pouget (Stan); and his close friend Norma Deans.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Simms (Lorne) of Woodslee, Linda Arnold (James) of Georgetown and Michael (Alison) of LaSalle; his grandchildren, Melissa, Danielle (Curtis) and Christopher (Tracy); his great grandchildren, Miles, Isla and Mara; his siblings, Robert Steer and Jannette Wilson (late Albert); and his brother-in-law Leo Gallant (late Peggy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
