We bid farewell to Claire (Ducharme) Birch (Windsor, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Claire touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her former husband Hector Girard; her husband Fred Robert Birch; her stepchildren, Larry Birch (Barbara) and Connie Libby (late David); her siblings, Marion McGuire (Jack) and Patricia Podgorski (Wally); and her in-laws, Cecile Thibert (George), Yvonne Girard, Florence Lemire (William), Eugene Girard (Juliette), Omer Girard (Anne), Rene Girard (Agnes), Willis Birch (Corine), Howard Birch (Anne) and Reta Geauvreau (Ellsworth).
She is survived by: her children, Mark Girard (Mary Ann) and Drew Girard (Pam); her grandchildren, Jeff (Laura), Chris, Alex (Stefanie), Shaun (Stephanie) and Kate; her great grandchildren, Addisyn and Benjamin; her sibling Jerry Ducharme (late Sylvia); and her siblings-in-law, Theresa (Pat), Cullen (late Leo Phaneuf) and Helen Dawson (late Bill). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Families First East Windsor (1065 Lauzon Rd, Windsor, ON N8S3M8). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cremation Has Taken Place and Memorial (1065 Lauzon Rd, Windsor, ON N8S3M8).
