He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his parents, Henrique Sousa and Maria Jose Sousa; and his siblings, Fernando, Benjamim, Alvareo, Maria Isabel and Adelaide.
He is survived by: his children, Lucy Charlton (Mike) and Manuel (Lysa); his grandchildren, Tim, Robert (Bailey), Connor and Joelle; his brother-in-law Manuel Vicente (Brites); his niece Maria Coscarella (Carlo); and his nephew Jose Henrique Vieira (Maria Alice).
