He was predeceased by: his wife Iria; his son Elio De Carolis (Alana); his parents, Domenico De Carolis and Vincenza; and his parents-in-law, Donato and Angela DiCarlo.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vincenza "Nancy" Vitella (Aldo) and Dalia Difazio (Frank); and his grandchildren, Melissa Lockhart (Anthony), Mark Vitella (Angie), Bianca Antonucci (Andrew), Nick Fantetti and Felicia Demarco (Ray). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
