She was predeceased by: her parents, William Russell and Fanny Russell; her siblings, William and Bessie Gibson; and her husband James Charles. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

She asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Royal Canadian Legion charitable initiatives.
