She was predeceased by: her husband William; her sister Kitty Johnstone; and her niece Gail. She is survived by: her child David Hanson (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Derek Hanson (Jennifer) and Karen Beedy (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Shane Hanson, Samantha Hanson and William Beedy; and her nieces, Sandra and Lynn.

Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Hospice of Windsor Essex.
