He was predeceased by: his stepson Jeff Laing; his parents, William Turner and Dorothy Turner; and his siblings, Donna Turner and Bill.

He is survived by: his sons, Doug (Michelle) and Sean Turner; his stepson Derek Laing; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Morgan, Owen, Emma and Marcus; and his sisters, Mary Conn (Bill), Joanne Demcie and Jill Turner.

Per Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place and due to the COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
