He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Smith; his parents, Joseph and Margaret; and his siblings, Gertrude, Darwin, Jenny and Gerry.
He is survived by: his children, Joel (Barb), Sherry Wright-Palcit (Todd) and Jacqueline Shaw (Mike). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
