He was predeceased by: his siblings, Judy (Max), Richard (Cathy) and Frances (Sandra); his brother-in-law Christopher (Debbie); his parents, Frederick Squires and Mary Squires; and his parents-in-law, Angus Pittman, Rae Catherine Pittman, Lavoie and Armel Lavoie.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his sons, Neil and Mark Squires; his stepchildren, Tamara Runco (Tony), Trevor Dobbs and Catherine Lounsbury (Cory); his siblings, Catherine (late Victor), Rosalind, Tina (Glen) and Beverley (Guy); and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy (Jim), Jacqueline, Angus (Peggy), Joanne (Martin), Sandra, Philip and Raedarlene (Ramel). He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
