He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Nina; his children, Andrew Jaroslav Zeleney of Clawson, Michigan Zeleney and Adriana Maria Zeleney (Olaf Bulmahn) of Guelph; his siblings, Anne Sanford (David) of Durham, North Carolina and Didi Zeleney of Toronto; and his sibling-in-law Nick Panaseiko of London. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
