She was predeceased by: her husband Levi Steele Jr.; her granddaughter Taiya Jee; and her brothers, Richard Jefferson (Goretta) and Thomas Brown. She is survived by: her children, Leslie Steele, Yvette Jee (Mike) and Levi III Steele (Sarah); her grandchildren, Keon, Kaydra Cummings, Kevin, Aaliyah and Malique Jee; her great grandchild Breeze Batson; and her siblings, Melvin Jefferson (Jacqueline), Charles Jefferson (Laurie), Timothy Brown (late Cathy) and Melva Brown-Detailleur (Mark). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
