She was predeceased by: her mother Bessie Taylor; and her sisters, Beryl, Winnifred and Wilma. She is survived by: her husband Ron; her children, Michele Wright (Lloyd) and Tom Leckie (Robin); her sisters-in-law, Grace McEwen (Freeman), Pat Berlin (Bill) and Janet Dengler (Darrell); and her grandchildren, Eric (Celyren), Mackenzie (Brittany), Jack (Ashley), Matthew (Madison), Miranda (Sean) and Lea.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Signature Tributes Event Centre (3310 Dougall Ave, Windsor, ON N9E1S6).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joan's memory to be made to the Home for Generations building campaign at St Aidan's Windsor.
