He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley; his children, Michael (late Joy Anne Carter), Jennifer (Mike DeFrane) and Joanne (Brian Wilson); his grandchildren, Erin, Dana, Erica, Derek, Nicole and Neil; and his sisters, Ysobel Drake and Marjorie Kerr.
